LOOK WHO's ONE!!!!!!!

I can't believe it's been a year already. It seems like just yesterday we bringing Bert home from the hospital. On Sunday June 22nd Bert turned ONE. He is getting so big. He has learned how to walk and seemed to master it within a week. He is so proud of himself when he walks, it's so cute. His Vocabulary has also grown a bit. He has added Hi, Cookie, Sydney and a bunch of gibber gabber to his language. I swear he calls me Dy or he is telling me to Die. Its a stewy, lois thing.

We are so excited about all the changes coming up in the next couple months. We find out tomorrow what we are having. I really think it's a girl but just because i put it in writing it will be a boy. We will be happy either way, just a heathly baby. We are also closing on our house on Friday. Our new address will be 463 Lewsiton Rd in New Gloucester ME. We are so excited. I should probably start packing at some point.

I haven't given up on writing in the blog, time is just hard to come by. Hopefully by September I will be staying home and will have a bit more time.

I just want to say thank you to everyone for making Bert's First Birthday such a great day!

Time Is Flying...........

Bert is growing by leaps and bounds. I can't believe in less then a month he will be ONE! I'm going to cry, it ha gone by way too fast. Bert has learned a few new tricks in the last month. He is "too big" to sit in the exersaucer so he has decided he likes to play underneath. It is too funny. He climbs under and puts his head in the seat and looks through the leg holes. What a character. He is an awesome sharer too. He will share his plug, his food, his toys etc. However he is not too sure about shring his mommy. We will be working on that for the next 6 months.

We also took our first trip to the beach. Bert loved the sand. Not too pleased with the water. It was fun.
Bert has also strted to stand on his own. And just tonight he took his first step. It is all happening too fast.
Rob went away for the memorial day weekend so it was just Bert and I. He was awesome. Such a good little guy. He even drove down to Cape Cod with me for a wedding on Saturday. He was so cute during the wedding. He clapped when everyone clapped and cheered with everyone.
As far as baby #2 goes.........only 6 more months. I don't feel as sick which is great. It's getting harder everyday to pick up Bert and walk down the stairs with him. The whole hurt groan area thing has come back. This time it takes my breath away it hurts so much. Oh well, it's life.
We are still looking for a house. We were under contract with a house in South Portland but it didn't pass inspection. Keep your fingers crossed. Hope this finds everyone well. Lova Ya.

Happy Birthday to Mommy

Today we celebrated my birthday. It was great to see everyone and have a BBQ. I just now realized I didn't get any pictures of Maggie and Charlotte. Bert had fun playing with his uncle vic and the girls. He was all over the place. Bert helped me blow out my candles. Bert and Rob got me a new big vera bradley bag that Bert can fit into. I received Motherhood Gift Cards as well as JcPenny Gift Cards and some very cool picture frame from Bella and Lil Dave. The last picture was on the way home, we gave Bert a hot dog roll to eat and he fell asleep eating it. Too cute. Thank you everyone for making it a special day! Have a great week!

Bert's First Trip to Boston

On Friday Rob and I took the day off and headed down to Boston with Bert. He was great in the car, he slept on the way down. He was very excited when we went through the tunnels. His eyes were huge. He was too cute. When we got into Boston we headed towards the Aquarium. We obviously didn't think this through because the line was huge due to it being school vacation. So instead of the Aquarium we headed to Fanuiel Hall for lunch. We stopped and got Bert this first Boston red sox hat. He was awesome. We went to Build a Bear after lunch and made a Wally Bear. It's almost as big as he is. After Boston we headed to IKEA. Woohoo. Bert didn't seem as impressed as I was. He was still pretty good and let me get a little shopping in. We then headed to Not Your Average Joes for an early Dinner. He thought it was pretty cool with all the colors. He was super tired after all the excitement. He was awesome on the way home and slept most the way. In May we will be hopefully making a trip with Nana and everyone to go to the Aquarium.
We have our next ultrasound on May 8th. It's been ok. I am tired it seems like all the time and still quesy but hopefully it will be over soon. We are also on the hunt for a house. Hope this finds everyone well.

Baby Update

We had our second ultrasound on Thursday. Eveything went great. The baby is sprouting arms and legs and has a heartbeat of 176. Our next ultrasound is May 8th. I am still as sick as ever. Cute story of true love. The other morning I didn't feel very well and had to visit the bathroom. I was alone with Bert and as soon as he heard me throwing up it got really upset. He is too cute. Kind of a weird story but I thought it was sweet.

Bert is on his way to feeling better. He defiantely has another tooth coming in and is working on the soothing himself thing at night. He is doing alot better then I thought he would. Today we went to visit Nana at work and dropped off flowers for her birthday. He seemed so confused why she was there andnot at her house. It was cute. Well here are a few pictures from the past couple weeks.

A Busy Weekend!

We had such a busy weekend. I started working on Saturdays and realized how much I don't love it. Aunty Bella babysat Bert for us. I think he gave her a run for her money. He fought her while getting changed and ended up naked for a while. Definately testing his limits! It was awesome he got to spend time with his Aunty Bella. On Saturday we also tried the new Texas Roadhouse in South Portland. It was delicious!!! We all over ate and had tummy aches but it was worth it. Lil Dave joined us and entertained Bert all night. It was a fun night! Bert had so much fun and was so exhausted he was falling asleep on the table.

Sunday was a low key day in the morning. Bert is still not quite up to par. I went to the Choclat Lovers fling with Mom, Bella, Deb, Vic, Judy, Linda, Theresa and Thersea's neice. It was fun. One of these times I am not going to be pregnant so I can eat till my little heart's content. We went to Binga Winga's for the first time since last summer. It was yummy. Once again I ate too much.

It was a great weekend and awesome to see everyone. Hope everyone had an exciting weekend. We will see you next weekend for Tam's and Uncle Ed's B-day.

Blessed

Bert has been under the weather this week. And has decided sleep is not for him. It has been a trying week. Here is a little story from the late nights of this week that make it all worth wild. Last night Bert decided 4am was a good time to get up and play. I went into his bedroom and held him for a bit while I rocked him hoping he would fall fast asleep. Little did I know he had a visitor. We have always had a feeling about Bert's bedroom and we have always said there is something greater then we understand with him. I think i finally figured it out. He had a little visitor. As I sat there rocking him almost in tears due to exhaustion he started talking to the corner of his room behind the rocker. Not babble but actually talking, and then he started smiling. It was almost as if he was playing peek-a-boo. All at once I felt a calm come over myself and as he laid his head back on my shoulder he just smiled and a little giggle came out. Now I know being really tired you start to feel things that probably aren't there. I really felt like Nana was with us and talking to Bert. The last week has been a tough one with many questions going through my head about the new baby on the way and if we can actually manage. Along with the sleepless nights, fear got the best of me. At that moment I really felt Nana's presence and her calming hand letting me know it will be all right. It's odd how Bert has never met Nana but probably knows her better then I ever did. It's wonderful to know we have a angel looking over us.

Hope this find everone well!

Beginning of Our Blog

Debbie talked me into it. We have decided to do a blog just in time to give everyone up to date with how Bert and baby #2 is doing. I'm not very good at updating things as you all could tell by our babysites, but I will try to be better about this.
Bert had his 9 month check up today! He is almost 22lbs (60th percentile) and almost 30 inches (90th percentile). He is getting quite the little stubborn personality (defiantly after his mother). He is now eating soft solid foods and he loves his food. He will not turn down a single bite. He is on the move. He is crawling like lightening and getting more daring with standing up. He will pull himself up on the coffee table and start to walk around and grab on to different things. Lucky for us he still loves to cuddle.
Baby #2 is quite a handful already. As much as I love food, i can't seem to keep it down. With Bert it was so predictable but with #2 it's all the time. I feel like I have already gotten bigger but that could all be in my head. We had our first ultrasound last week and have another on April 10th and then another on May 8th. Dr. pulvino is keeping a close eye this time. I can't wait to be over the yucky part and on to the uncomfortable part. :-)
Hope this finds everyone well!
